Tech For Seniors currently has nine branches operating in six states and two countries. We are continuing to grow our impact nationwide in order to help more senior citizens learn about technology.

Lucas Huh
EXECUTIVE Director
Lucas is a junior at James Madison High School. He is the President of his school’s Current Events Club, and loves playing the bass and guitar. In his free time, he volunteers at an elementary school with writing and STEM and tutors the bass. He was inspired to join Tech Seniors because of the combination of teaching and STEM. He loves making an impact on his community and hopes to be able to give back with Tech For Seniors.

Olivia Yang is a Junior at James Madison High School. She has been volunteering for Tech for Seniors for 2 years and was the previous “Director of Technology." She is passionate about Tech for Seniors out of love for connecting with others through knowledge of technology. She a business-oriented student aspiring to go into Business management is current Vice President of the JMHS Technology Student Association chapter. She is affiliated with organizations like: Oakton Library Teen Advisory Board, DECA, FBLA, TSA, and JMHS literary magazine. After school, she is a counselor for Flint Hill Elementary School’s LEGO coding and Gazette, a violin teacher, and a volleyball coach.

Beckett Sharma

Beckett is a junior at James Madison High School. He is the founder & president of the JMHS Formula 1 Club, a DECA competition team officer, and FBLA competitor. He is also a member of the Madison High School orchestra, and plays the violin. He was inspired to join Tech For Seniors because of how much he enjoyed volunteering for the first time, as well as his interest in technology and desire to improve in presenting and public speaking. In his free time, Beckett enjoys playing soccer, traveling, and spending time with friends.

Abi Kakarala

Abi is a junior at Oakton High School. She is a Nursing Assistant student, DECA and HOSA Competitor, as well as a Junior Volunteer League Member. Her passion for aiding nursing homes and making healthcare more accessible is why she wants to help seniors operate their technology. She was inspired to join Tech for Seniors by her first hand experience of how mysteries and complications of technology negatively impact senior outcomes. Outside of school, Abi enjoys volunteering, attending work out classes, and hanging out with her friends.

Caitlin Holtaway

Caitlin is a junior at James Madison High School. She is the captain of both her high school varsity and club competition gymnastics teams, as well a part of She Can STEM that introduces young girls into the world of STEM. She also participates in her schools chapter of DECA and recently competed at SLC! Caitlin is also very passionate about raising awareness for Lung Cancer and works with the LCFA to help as much as she can. She was originally inspired to work with Tech For Seniors due to her love for sharing her passion for technology and STEM to her peers. In her free time Caitlin loves to read, draw, travel and cook!

Keira is a junior at James Madison High School. She is the founder and president of Madison’s Neurodivergent Club. Her interest in Artificial Intelligence prompted her to start a longitudinal research study in 2023, tracking changes in attitudes towards AI adoption and integration in education. She is looking to pursue a career in biotechnology and promote the use of AI in developing life-saving medical equipment. She believes technology is a vital tool, and her interest in joining Tech For Seniors is rooted in her passion for helping seniors gain confidence in their ability to use technology. In her free time, Keira loves to travel, teach yoga, and play volleyball!

HABEN YEMANE
Haben is a senior at Brookwood High School and serves as Co-President of both the Women in STEM and International Clubs. She plans to major in computer science in college. Haben joined Tech for Seniors to help close the technology gap and give back to the community by equipping older adults with the tools and confidence they need to navigate modern technology. In her free time, Haben enjoys crocheting, playing her violin, and volunteering at the Ahwat Tutoring Program at the Eritrean American Community Center.

ISHANVI AKULA
Ishanvi is a junior at Independence High School. She is an active member of her school’s Mental Health Association and will serve as an editor for the school’s news program in the upcoming year. Inspired by her parents both team leads who mentor and support others, she developed a strong passion for helping people grow and succeed. This passion led her to join Tech For Seniors, where she hopes to help older adults navigate technology more confidently, just as she has done with her own grandparents. Outside of school, Ishanvi enjoys a wide range of activities, including swimming, snorkeling, diving, choir, French, ice skating, emceeing, and baking.

SAKSHI PATIL
Sakshi is a sophomore at Foothill High School. She is an active member of HOSA and the American Red Cross club at school. She is passionate about helping others and enjoys working with people and teaching them new things, which inspired her to start a Tech for Seniors branch in her community. She has helped her own grandparents work with tech on many occasions, which also led her to starting a branch as she has seen how hard it can be. She often also volunteers at senior centers by performing dance there, so she has experience speaking with people at centers and helping create an interactive and entertaining environment for them. Outside of school, she does dance and plays the drums. She also enjoys creative writing and reading.

JIA KAUR
Jia is a sophomore at Cupertino High School. She was inspired to join Tech for Seniors because of her grandparents, who often struggle to use technology and sometimes feel disconnected from the world around them. Outside of Tech for Seniors, she serves as one of the captains of her school’s Speech and Debate team and is actively involved in athletics, playing both basketball and field hockey for her school. She is very passionate about helping seniors feel more connected and is very excited for what’s to come!

AANYA AGARWAL
Aanya is a sophomore at Waubonsie Valley High School. She is a board member of her school’s Science Olympiad team, and also participates in Red Cross Club and Girls in Stem. She enjoys socializing and volunteering a lot. These passions inspired her to create a branch in her local area. She assists her grandparents with using technology, gaining valuable insight into making tech more accessible for seniors. She also enjoys playing badminton, swimming, and painting. She also has a healthy passion for reading.

Avani is a sophomore at Waubonsie Valley High School. She is a member of the American Red Cross, BPA, and Girls in STEM at her school. She loves working with new people and helping them learn, inspiring her to start a branch near her. She’s worked with her grandparents helping them to navigate technology on many occasions, and wants to help bridge the gap in tech. In her free time she plays badminton, spends time with friends and family, paints, and bakes.

SEHER RAMPURAWALA
Seher is a dedicated and active high school student with a passion for both technology and community service. She is a sophomore at Father Michael McGivney Catholic Academy. Her interest in computer science began during the COVID-19 pandemic when she helped others navigate online learning and troubleshoot tech issues within her community. Since then, she has continued to explore technology through self-learning and school-based opportunities. She was inspired to join Tech for Seniors because she understands how important it is to make technology easier and more accessible for everyone. Through her lifeguard training and volunteer work, she has developed strong leadership, organization, and communication skills. Outside of academics, she enjoys swimming, playing basketball, and giving back to her community.
